"Mike and Molly" Quote of the Day
Victoria: Have you ever heard of the expression, "Does the carpet match the drapes"
Molly: Only when shopping for carpeting or drapes.
Victoria: Well just so you know, practically nobody has carpeting anymore.
Joyce: Just a little area rug near the entryway

No More Walkman!
Sony has announced that it has stopped production of it’s cassette Walkmans, first introduced in 1979. I wonder what would win in a battle… Walkman or Discman? I loved both, but I think my Walkman got more play. Thanks to Kris Kross and the Ghostbusters 2 SDTK. You gotta love the late 80’s and early 90’s.

McRib Locator... Really? →
“The McRib actually has nothing to do with ribs. It’s a boneless pork patty molded into the shape of a rib slab and adorned with pickles, onions and barbecue sauce on a bun.” — Julie Jargon and David Kesmodel (The Wall Street Journal)

Elmer by Gerry Alanguilan
I am excited to read this graphic novel. Elmer opens a window into a world where chickens have suddenly acquired the intelligence and consciousness of humans, where they can now consider themselves a race no different than browns, black, or whites. Recognizing themselves to be sentient, the inexplicably evolved chickens push to attain rights for themselves as the newest members of the human ...

Pencil vs Camera →
I thought I would share this link. It is a very interesting combination of pencil drawings and photography. This imaginative work comes from Ben Heine, a Belgian visual creator. It’s some of the most unique imagery I’ve ever seen. His other collections are worth viewing as well. Take a look. You won’t be dissapointed.

An Unshakable Bond
Man’s best friend. Nothing is more gratifying and essential to the solace of a man. There is no greater duty for me than to live up to the person my dog knows me to be. This unshakable bond, this unspoken language we share, was forged during rough times. A friendship that has been shown through sufferance. Mistakes and unfortunate circumstances litter life. Its how we choose to maneuver...

More Harry Potter?
J.K. Rowling hasn’t closed the Dumbledore on writing more Harry Potter books. Today, in a sit down interview with Oprah, the author said, “I could definitely write an 8th, 9th, 10th [book].” That reminds me. I’ve got to go read.
